Proposed health reform legislation
a power play, move toward socialism
To The Daily: I want the uninsured to have health care insurance. The words of President Barack Obama are far different from the confusing, 1,900-plus pages of garbage that is being pushed through the legislative process. The plan currently being touted would insure only half of the 20 percent who are now uninsured (excluding illegals), would put the U.S. into massive debt for generations, while eventually putting the other 80 percent who are satisfied under government control and saddling them with unnecessary costs. The main goal of the controlling liberal majority is power and a move to socialism. Focusing on the real problem of good health care for the 20 percent of uninsured Americans does not appear to be an option. Cal Thomas, in his Nov. 1 article, explained steps needed to reform and provide health insurance. These steps, which include state mobility, vouchers and tax cuts for workers, were rejected and ignored by the current majority when conservatives attempted to introduce them. Another point hidden in the current propaganda is that, once Obama signs the bill, the added taxes go into immediate effect. However, the so-called benefits do not begin for at least three years. It’s an effort for many to become informed about what is really going on in our government and the path being taken toward failed policies of Canada, Europe and other countries. It’s been said that evil flourishes when good men do nothing, which unfortunately seems to be the case for many. Grace Hegar

i can not believe that is so hard to see. are people just brainwashed, do they hear what they want to hear, not whats being said. brings back memorys of a shoe being slammed down, and the words "we will defeat you and not fire a shot". the t v show V should be named D, they are using the same plan. i for one do not intend on being food for the reptiles.
Very well written...And also very true of our current legislature...America needs a miracle, and FAST!
Myth and John, I can not believe how you can see through the Republicans lies. We have Social Security and it is working great! Who will loose most in the plan? Insurance companies. We will be better with Health Care!! The republicans and people like Parker Griffith (D) are just wrong and are the parties of NO. Griffith is a doctor you know. I wonder how much insurance stock he owns. Folks like him have no plan, no caring, and no leadership.
Bubba
Sounds like a "bubba" again. Ignorance is dangerous.
I've been trying to figure out if Ol' bubba's last name is "dingfod" or "delfro".
gah you really do sound like a bubba...if Social Security is working so great, why can't we just keep everything as it is? Also, is social security not losing money; how much longer is it going to last?
You bad mouth Bubba but offer no answers to the problems other that NO. Social Security will be fine as soon as we get a national health care plan. Why do you call me ugly unchristian and even unAmerican names. Bubba has not called you anything other than sweet.
