Former Decatur High girls basketball coach Mike Smith has started writing a blog called Baseline Chat.

Smith will share his thoughts on high school basketball and said he hopes to promote the sport through the blog. He plans to encourage reader feedback and will respond to comments on the blog.

Smith won five Class 6A state championships in 29 years as Decatur High girls basketball coach.
