An expert in corporate finance said a lawsuit challenging Decatur's form of government could prevent city officials from pulling together the Sweetwater retail development, expected to be anchored by Bass Pro Shops.

Details on the economic development project remain sketchy because of confidentiality agreements signed by city officials, but it appears to be similar to a $1.3 billion project that stalled last year. City officials said that project would have included a Bass Pro, a 250-room hotel and three restaurants in the Decatur-annexed portion of Limestone County. Eventually, they said, the development would employ up to 4,000 people.

What's the big deal with Kyle? He's getting to the point where he can kiss any chance of re-election out the window.

The council brought this on themselves. They should be ashamed and kicked out of office regardless of what happens with the lawsuit.
