Why let him go? He is 17 years old and he should have learned right from wrong. And if he hasn't teach him a lesson.
Because the law says so...he is a juvenile.
Who mentioned letting him go?
Juveniles are age 7. That's when they learn right from wrong. All other should be treated like an adult. There was a 9 year old boy tried for nurder in Michigan some years back. He shot a 12 year old boy with a .22 caliber rifle and tried to say the bullet bounced off a house and hit the boy. He got a light sentence , but still was convicted.
