ATHENS — Athens State University is trying to work with students impacted by Wednesday's tornadoes.
Denver Betts, vice President for Academic Affairs, is asking students who missed a final exam or did not submit due coursework due to the storm or subsequent power outage to contact the course instructor as soon as possible. This can be done by email or phone.
Betts said the faculty has been instructed to be flexible with students by allowing them to either take the grade as it stood before the storms or allow them to take their final exam or submit any due work.
Exams must be taken or work should be submitted by May 5. The due date for having grades submitted has been reset for May 9.
