Authorities seek 2 escapees
Johnny Wayne Johnson

Authorities are looking for two Morgan County inmates who walked off their work detail Sunday afternoon.

According to a statement released by Sheriff Ana Franklin, the inmates, Johnny Wayne Johnson, 28, of Cullman and Steven Carl Mears, 24, of Decatur left their work detail in Decatur around 1 p.m.

Johnson is a white male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 185 pounds with brown hair and green eyes, authorities said. He has a tattoo above his left eye and another across his throat. Mears is a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 180 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Franklin said both are believed to have been picked up by an unknown female driving a white sedan, make and model unknown.

Johnson was incarcerated on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, while Mears was in jail on a probation violation, authorities said. Both now face felony escape charges.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about the case to call 256-560-6196 or 256-301-1174.

the wiener twins

If they didn't like eing in jail, they'll have longer time to not like it when they are caught. Stupid is as stupid does.

what goes around, comes back around. Well Mears, your future is looking dim through those prison bars.
