There is no shortage of bald eagles. They are beautiful birds but the north has more than they know what to do with. Did you know these birds are large enough to carry off your house pets? They have been known to try to attack small children. They don't understand that there are things they are not to feed on. Eagles nests have been found to have cat and dog collars in them where they have carried the pets there to feed on. Yes, if they stay on the refuge it would be wonderful to have them to see, but they don't. If these birds are allowed to multiply and feel welcome you will have to be with your small children, even in a fenced back yard, You will need to be with your pets outside and have them close to you since the eagles have been known to pick up small pets even when they are leashed with the owner present. I deal with this daily since I live where the eagles are abundant. I love to see them, take pictures of them but I also know the dangers of them. They are majestic birds and awsome to see. Just watch your young children and family pets.
