Would have made a lot more sense to build overpasses like the parkway and complete access roads on both sides , all they will have when they get through is six lanes of congested traffic creeping from red light to red light just like it does now, wider slow moving lanes is not going to help the congestion , they never do anything that makes any sense
I don't understand how they started construction on the south end of the Beltline when they haven't even finished the north end of the Beltline near Highway 20.
Another great move here in the the dirty
Connect Central Parkway and free the intersection at Beltline and Central Parkway. When the overpass bridge in Birmingham caught fire and melted, that bridge was built back in less than a week. North Beltline has taken over two years! I can't believe all the through traffic that cuts through Hobby Lobby parking lot. If traffic leaves Cracker Barrel to get back on the Beltline on the service road they have to turn right and then will either turn around at Hobby Lobby or cut through its parking lot and go out by Serra Toyota. Will the city pay for Hobby Lobby's asphalt being over run with cut through traffic? I think not. Fix the service roads Decatur.
