Sheriff Ana Franklin reported Wednesday Oct. 10, the Morgan County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 191 High Street in Somerville.
Brothers Jeffery Douglas Arnold and Brandon Eugene Arnold were arrested at the residence. MCDTF agents had been investigating both brothers for several weeks because of information that had been obtained through numerous recent methamphetamine drug-related arrests, reports show.
MCDTF agents discovered the brothers had been operating a red phosphorous methamphetamine laboratory, locating chemicals and other materials used and associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The Arnold brothers were found to be in possession of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia items that were used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Items were located in the brothers separate bedrooms of the residence and methamphetamine and chemicals associated with manufacturing methamphetamine were found in a storage building behind residence. Both brothers were out on bond for a prior arrest, where they were each charged with second-degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, in 2011 and are still awaiting grand jury indictment.
The brothers were arrested and transported to the Morgan County Jail and are each being charged with first-degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance- methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
Their bonds were each set at $10,000.
