Bullen, Nimitz

William and Bonnie Bullen of Decatur are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carol Elizabeth Bullen, to Michael Doug-las Nimitz, son of Faye Nimitz of Roswell, Ga. and Keith Nimitz of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Mable Palmer of Decatur and the late Oather and Lorine Bullen of Red Bay.

Miss Bullen is a graduate of Austin High School and The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science. She is a member of the Junior League of Nashville and is employed at Vanderbilt University as the Director of Develop-ment for the Section of Surgical Sciences.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Gerney and Myrtice Swain of Waycross, Ga. and Gklong and Gkoy Gkalayanamit of Sawanka-lok, Thailand.

Mr. Nimitz is a graduate of Huntsville High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Ala-bama. He is currently employed as a project man-ager for Acousti Engineering Company of Florida in Nashville, Tenn.

The wedding will be held August 3, 2012 at 6:00 in the evening in Key Largo, Fla. with Dr. Kenneth Claus officiating. A reception will follow at the Hil-ton Key Largo Resort.
