I know neither party. Certainly this is a terrible accident and I feel sorry for all involved.

For persons to make such a claim – and for the Decatur Daily to even print it - without a final police investigation to back it up is flat wrong.

The Daily lacks creditability and this is an clear example of why!

Yes... now there will be conflicting opinons and everyone will have pre-conceived ideas and they weren't even there. Why would anyone want to cause this confusion for the public??? Especially for the families.

We all know who is telling the truth here! Dobbs was probably checking his "radar map" or something. I don't think all of these people including kids are in some kind of conspiracy against this man. He should be in jail for a homicide and should be paying restitution to the family. Instead the attempted cover-up continues and will probably prevail because of his "celebrity status".

The insight Josie has is truly amazing. The hatred in her "opinions" is truly tragic.

The school bus childen could not have seen the wreck happen. School was not out at the time of the accident.

Susan, read the story again. No one said they were on the bus heading home. They were traveling from a learning center to another school.

Josephine is continueing to spread her ignorance. Dobbs may or may not have been at fault. Hopefully the truth will come out, however in the meantime, there is no conspiracy or cover up.

Let the police do their investigation and conclude the final analysis ,or allow Josephine from Danville to decide,she apparently has all the answers,or a crystal ball!

This is a tragic story regardless of who is at fault. But I found something awesome in this story, Rita King took the time to pray with Mrs. Ricks. That is wonderful, instead of trying to imply who was at fault we should be praising this women for possibly giving Mrs. Ricks a moment of comfort and peace before her death. We should all be praying for these families.

I bet you 5 bucks Josephine was related to the late Mrs. Ricks...so sad to hear a story like this.....even sadder to have someone as ignorant as Josephine to pop off like she is..

Let me just state for the record that my little crusade is not a referendum on Mr. Dobbs but instead an indictment against "the powers that be" who are participating in efforts to suppress the truth. In addition I would like to commend the daily for printing this article because it is said that by the testimony of two or three witnesses a thing is established. Furthermore, my main issue is how this is the second time in a few short months that persons of "status" appears to literally be getting away with murder(no pun intended). I am a firm believer and dedicated to the proposition that "injustince anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"!!!

That being said, I would like to apologize for seemingly coming across as mean spirited or biased or worst yet, having a vendetta against Mr. Dobbs. I ask for forgiveness for my blatant display of being righteously indignant!!!!!

Josephine you need to get your facts straight because yesterday you advised authorities to check his mobile device because you believed he was sending a text message. Now you have changed your story and he was NOT in fact texting, he was checking his radar map.

Decatur Daily...You are so lacking in tact and respect on this article. Why would you put such details in the newspaper for the family of this victim to read? So many things printed were unneccessary. This family did not need to know such detail on their loved one.

Josephine, I forgive you. It takes a lot to say your sorry and I think when you do you need to get a little recognition for it. Very commendable of you.

Mrs. King was going Northbound on 33 which is the opposite of the direction that Mrs. Ricks was headed on 33. The school bus would have probably been there at that time but not very likely that any children would have been paying close enough attention to a car crossing their path. The possibility of a person sitting at a stop light and looking into a vehicle moving at a rate of 55 mph and being able to tell that they were looking at a piece of paper or anything else is very low.

The fact of this story is an accident happened. A terrible accident and who was at fault is not important. I am sure that Mr. Dobbs did not want to hit Mrs. Ricks at all. From the statements of Mrs. King gave, Mrs. Ricks was comforted by the Lord before she went to meet Him and that we can be thankful for.
