MUSCLE SHOALS — Police are looking for a man who witnesses said walked into a local convenience store and robbed the clerk at knifepoint Thursday night, police said.
Police said the robbery occurred just after 7:30 p.m. at the Kangaroo Convenience store at Wilson Dam Road and Avalon Avenue.
“No one was hurt, which is the most important thing,” said Muscle Shoals police detective Lt. Seig Mueller said.
Mueller said the suspect is a white man who is described as being in his 40s, with a mustache. Witnesses said he was unshaven at the time of the robbery.
“The cashier said he was about 6 foot tall and heavy set,” Mueller said.
He said the man walked across Wilson Dam Road toward Muscle Shoals Trailer Park.
Anyone knowing anything about the robbery is asked to call police at 256-383-6746 or Shoals Crime Stoppers at 256-386-8685.
