Watch the movie Money Pit.

SPEND SPEND SPEND GIVE MONEY AWAY SPEND GIVE AWAY SPEND SPEND SPEND GIVE AWAY . A terrible day for the future of our city. These people think they are the federal government spending like drunken sailors.

so did they vote to buy it at $145k or $175k? Says what Anders "wanted to do". Not what was voted on. poorly written article.

I expected Billy to vote against this. Because it was going to cost $2.5 million. (or is he ok with it because it's in his district?)

Bob, since he voted for it I would bet they bought it for $145k

There is no other buyer for this property. Yet they want to pay top dollar for it. Is there no one in the city that can negotiate a deal where we don't give away everything. Thirty thousand here 40 million there. Pretty soon it adds up to real money.

spend, spend, spend......

oh, we need to raise taxes.

Smart move by the council. It will draw in more tourists to downtown and those folks are spending money. Truly a progressive move with a vision for downtown. Yes, I know it won't attract more payday loan companies or heart-stopping fast food joints that are all the rage on 6th Ave and the Beltline, but you win some and lose some.

My only suggestion would be to move the tourist center from 6th Ave to the depot instead of the Annex. When your office desk is located 30 feet from passing freight cars, you'll have to bolt your furniture to the floor.

David, they ain't moving the annex to the depot...which would be smart... they are moving a division of the police department there.

See advice from the other Rebecca above.

Again it looks like the people 's coice was ignored by the city officials. That money couldl be used for widening Slpring Road. like they wanted to in 2002. What a waste of money. Watch the final price to be over 3 million, (At lwast).

Who voted for these clowns?
