Danville 53, West Morgan 52: Krystyn Chambers had a game-high 13 points for West Morgan, but the Rebels shot at the buzzer fell short and Danville held on the 53-52 victory.
Hallie Cunningham added 10 points for West Morgan, which fell to 4-8 with the loss.
Tara Tuck, Sydni Shelton and Gracie George each had 10 points in the win for Danville.
Girls
Falkville 40, St. Bernard 15: The Falkville girls kept their Class 1A, Area 14 record spotless Tuesday with a victory over visiting St. Bernard.
Falkville (9-1 overall, 4-0 in area) held St. Bernard to just eight points through three quarters.
Freshman Emily Mickelson had 12 points and six rebounds to lead the Blue Devils. Patricia Kilgore added eight points in the win.
Lawrence County 61, Hatton 32: Rachel Childress recorded a double-double, scoring 26 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, in the win for Lawrence County.
Tori McDaniel added 13 points and seven steals for Lawrence County, which led 31-17 at the half and improved to 9-2 with the win.
Addie Carter led all Hatton scorers with 11 points.
Priceville 66, East Lawrence 61: Jada Beverly and Emilee Cunningham combined to the lead the Bulldogs to the win in their Class 4A, Area 14 opener.
Beverly scored 21 and Cunningham had 19 for 3-7 Priceville. Kayla Lucas grabbed 11 rebounds in the win.
Brooke White led East Lawrence with 20 points, Angel Bolden had 17 and Audra Simpson added 12.
Brewer 68, Scottsboro 52: Riley Northway had 25 points and 12 rebounds as top-ranked Brewer remained unbeaten.
Savana Flack and Rheagan Harvel each had 12 points for the Patriots (11-0), who led 37-28 at the half.
Mackenzie Edmondson and Aqua Branford each had 12 points in the loss for Scottsboro.
West Limestone 54, Wilson 37: Kayla Carter had 24 points in the win for West Limestone.
Autumn Bates finished with 16 points and Shelby Clay added nine points and 14 rebounds.
Boys
Falkville 67, St. Bernard 59: Aaron Estes and Canaan Smith combined for 32 points and 22 rebounds in the win for Falkville.
Estes finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Devils (3-5), while Smith added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Travis Cole had 15 points.
Jadvian Roland had a game-high 25 points in the loss for St. Bernard.
West Morgan 86, Danville 49: Brandon Roberts had a game-high 30 points to lead West Morgan in the rout.
Peyton Mullican added 14 points for the Rebels (10-2), while JT Kirby had 11.
Justin Morgan had 19 points in the loss for Danville.
Priceville 66, East Lawrence 57: The Bulldogs hit 10 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the home victory.
Kaleb Barker and Marc McLendon both scored 17 points to lead Priceville (6-4) in the Class 4A, Area 15 opener. Luke Mason had 16 and Chandler Livingston added 12 in the victory.
Cameron Garner led East Lawrence with 23 points and Malik Garth had 16.
Tanner 62, Lexington 32: Four players reached double
figures as Tanner opened its season, and area play, with a win.
Fred Rich and Greg Maclin each had 12 points for the Rattlers, while Jace Haggermaker and Justin Smith added 11 points each.
Jake Rogers had 12 points in the loss for Rogers.
West Limestone 65, Wilson 50: Every player on West Limestone’s roster scored in the area win.
Nathaniel Adams led the charge with 14 points for West Limestone (7-3, 3-0), while Kyle Casteel added 13 points.
Austin Oakley had a game-high 22 points in the loss for Wilson.
