I think what ORVILLE meant was if our laws were effective, this bozo would have lost his car the first time he was arrested and would have been without a vehicke. A couple of years ago, they started impounding far for dui . The tow companies complained they didn't get enough money or didn't have room to store the cars until the owner got them back. And the ordance fell by the wayside.

There are a number of reasons that a driver's license can be suspended. The article doesn't say why his was suspended in the first place. Could have been DUI, could have been too many points, could have been failure to pay child support. Not sure they're impounding for any of these reasons.
