William and Diana Holt of Decatur, Texas are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Major Sandra Michelle Turner, to Major Luther Eddie Douglas, son of Perry and Janice Douglas of Olive Branch, Miss., formerly of Deca-tur, Ala.

Major Turner is a graduate of Decatur High School in Decatur, Texas. She received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University, and a degree in Public Administration from Troy State University. She completed Officer Training and Squadron Officer School at Maxwell Air Force Base. Major Turner is an aircraft maintenance offi-cer assigned to McConnell Air Force Base in Wich-ita, Kan. She is currently a F-16 maintenance advi-sor to the Pakistani Air Force.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Luther H. and Mary E. Douglas of Hartselle.

Major Douglas is a graduate of Austin High School in Decatur, Ala. and received a Bachelor of Science degree in History from The United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. He is also a graduate of The United States Air Force Spe-cialized Undergraduate Pilot Training - Air Educa-tion Training Command, Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas. Major Douglas is currently a sen-ior pilot and an instructor pilot of the KC-135 Mid-Air Refuelers assigned to McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kan.

Vows will be exchanged June 15, 2012 at 7:00 in the evening in Las Vegas, Nev. A reception will fol-low at the Hilton Grand Hotel.
