Enjoy music and a meal with Moulton’s Miss Rodeo USA

Celebrate the beginning of Lauren Terry’s reign as Miss Rodeo USA on Saturday night at the A.W. Todd Coliseum in Moulton. The 21-year-old Moulton native won the title at the 43rd International Finals Rodeo in January.

Saturday’s event will feature a meal of steak or chicken, music by Ben Parker and Jeff Whitlow, children’s activities and an auction. Tickets cost $20. Children 10 and younger enter free.

As Miss Rodeo USA, Terry will receive funds for traveling expenses and $5,000 at the end of her reign, but she does not receive a salary. Proceeds from the event will help pay her daily expenses.

Auction items include gift certificates to restaurants and clothing stores, a horse training voucher, riding classes, a hand-painted Longhorn skull, a pistol case and more.

Terry, a senior at Auburn University studying animal science, represented as Miss Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo at the pageant. As part of her responsibilities, Terry will move to Paul’s Valley, Okla.

A.W. Todd Coliseum is at 143 College St., Moulton. Call 256-565-0820 for information.
