Deputies arrested a man who allegedly choked and cut his girlfriend Wednesday night, Morgan County sheriff’s investigators said.
Charles Ronnie Looney, 38, of 236 Buck Road, Eva, faces charges of second-degree domestic violence and resisting arrest.
Sgt. Terry Kelly of the Criminal Investigations Division said the 32-year-old woman had red marks on her throat and a small cut to her arm, reportedly caused by a razor, following the 7:30 p.m. incident in the 200 block of Buck Road. She was treated and released from a local hospital.
Patrol officers picked up Looney later that night and took him to Morgan County Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $5,300 bail.
