If these kids knew what was good for them they'd be voting straight ticket Democrat. Unfortunatly they hear what their parents say and vote like robots.

You have no idea how well-informed or non-informed these students are or what kind of discussion went on in the classrooms prior to the vote! How ridiculous that you could turn something so positive into a negative! Ugh!

I think this is a wonderful idea. We should teach our children by word and act that as citizens of the greatest country in the world we have responsibilities. One of the most important is voting in every election, local and national. No position or issue on a ballot is too small to ignore; every vote does count. Our children should be taught that nothing short our serious illness or death is an excuse to miss the opportunity to vote. The often heard excuse for not voting of ,I don't like any of the candidates is a cop out, lame excuse and not a reasoin for not voting. When I was a child.my parents took me with them everytime they went to vote and I developed a respect for the privledge that so many died defending in the past. I am proud that the schools in my Father's home town and my present residence are teaching this sacred privledge. Good for you Falkville Elementary, Letha Smith and the students the students who "voted"!
