Kayla Faulk had a strong day at the plate and the mound to lead Hartselle past East Limestone 6-1 Tuesday afternoon.
Faulk led Class 5A No. 10 Hartselle (9-7-1) at the plate, finishing with two doubles, a single and two RBIs.
Faulk also got the pitching win, striking out six while giving up six hits.
Jada Hayes finished with two singles and an RBI for Hartselle, while Madeline Sittason had a single and two RBIs. Taylor Wascavage added two singles, while Baylee Holt had a double and a single.
Kasie Suttles led East Limestone at the plate with two singles and an RBI, while Hannah Hall, Chyanne Brown and Brianna Bright added one hit each.
Florence 4, Austin 3: Ellison Barrett hit four RBIs to lead Florence past Austin in a Class 6A, Area 15 win.
Barrett finished 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run homer.
Aleah Garth led Austin at the plate with two singles and an RBI, while Anna Leigh Mitchel, Mallory Malone and Erin Claborn each had two singles. Abby Claborn added an RBI single for the Black Bears.
Haley Shollenberger got the pitching win for Florence, striking out four while giving up nine hits.
Davis Watkins, Alex Jones and Madison Olive each had two hits for the Falcons.
Austin travels to Decatur on Thursday.
Lawrence County 11, Russellville 0: Mackenzie Hill finished with a single, a double and a triple to help the Red Devils improve to 2-0 in Class 5A, Area 16.
Tori McDaniel added a double and two singles for Lawrence County.
Anna Beth Franks was the winning pitcher, striking out three while allowing one hit. From the plate, she added three singles.
The Red Devils (15-4-1) play Muscle Shoals Thursday.
East Lawrence 11, Brooks 4: Riley Eskridge blasted a double and a single with three RBIs to lead the Eagles in the home game.
Alex Hopkins finished with a triple, a single and two RBIs, and Nisha Trammell added a double and an RBI.
Emily Shelton got the pitching win, striking out one through seven innings.
Mallory Kirk had two hits for Brooks.
East Lawrence visits West Morgan on Thursday.
West Morgan 11, Priceville 1: Sydney Sanders hit two home runs to lead the Rebels, finishing 2-for-4 with seven RBIs.
Briley Stephenson had a double and an RBI, while Haley Keaty, Hannah Draper, Kayla Moore and Taylor Goodpastor each added a single.
Sanders struck out one and allowed two hits to get the pitching win.
Danville 1, Vinemont 0: Bailey King finished 1-for-3 with a triple, while Andrea Carter added a single and scored the Hawks’ lone run.
Savannah Bolton was the winning pitcher, striking out four and allowing three hits through seven innings.
Danville (13-6) visits Carbon Hill on March 30.
Falkville 15, Tanner 1: Cheyenne Wilson and Bailey Anders both finished with two RBIs in the win, while Shaynah Story added an RBI.
Callie Garner notched the win, while Tanner’s Haley Rose scored the Rattlers’ lone run.
Decatur Heritage 11, Meek 0: Peyton Barthel was the winning pitcher in the Class 1A, Area 15 game, striking out six and allowing one hit through five innings.
Barthel finished 3-for-4 with a home run and two singles while Blakely Stephenson went 3-for-4 with a double.
The Eagles (8-6, 2-0) visit West Morgan on Friday.
Hartselle 10-9, West Point 0-7: Brett Blackwood led Class 5A No. 6 Hartselle with two hits, including a home run, and four RBIs as the Tigers swept a Class 5A, Area 15 doubleheader with West Point.
Easton Chenault went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Hartselle (17-6, 1-0 in Area 15) in Game 1, while Aaron Lamb had two hits and two RBIs. Tanner Oakes and Tyler Phillips each added an RBI for the Tigers.
Colton Ord got the pitching victory, giving up no hits while striking out six in four innings.
In Game 2, Chris Brown hit a two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Tigers.
Brown finished 2-for-4 with five RBIs to lead Hartselle at the plate. Oakes added two hits for the Tigers.
Dakota Fowler was the winning pitcher, striking out five while giving up six hits in five innings of relief.
Austin 10, Athens 0: Chandler Busing had a double, finishing 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Black Bears in Game 1 of the doubleheader at Athens.
Chris Sparkman added a double and an RBI, while Matt Fischer hit a double with two RBIs in the win.
Sparkman got the pitching win, striking out four and allowing five hits through five innings.
Jordan George added two hits for Athens in the loss.
Austin opens Class 6A, Area 15 play Friday against James Clemens, while Athens visits Muscle Shoals on Thursday.
Bob Jones 6, Decatur 1: Harold Blades put the Red Raiders on the board with a single in the second inning, finishing 1-for-2 in the loss.
William Woller led the Red Raiders with two singles, while Tanner Burns and Camp Metcalf added singles in the game at Bob Jones.
Decatur (10-6) hosts Florence Friday in a Class 6A, Area 16 game.
Cullman 4-12, East Limestone 1-0: Cole Collins and Keegan Thompson both hit home runs to lead the Class 5A No. 4 Bearcats in Game 1 of the doubleheader at East Limestone.
Ben Rhodes finished 3-for-3 with three singles in the loss.
In Game 2, Cameron finished 1-for-2 with a double, as Cullman scored 10 runs in the first two innings in the shutout.
Troy Forrest got the pitching win for Cullman, striking out three through five innings.
Thompson and Keaton Dean each had a double and a single.
East Limestone (9-8, 0-1 in Class 5A, Area 15) and Cullman continue area play on Thursday in a doubleheader at Cullman.
Florence 15-6, Lawrence County 3-8: Jordan Simpson finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, but it was not enough to pull the Red Devils ahead in Game 1.
Carson Jones, Blake Pulliam, Cody Wilkerson and Trace White also added singles.
In Game 2, Lawrence County trailed by six before Jones hit a two-RBI single in the sixth inning to help the Red Devils (12-5) take the lead,
Travis Thomas finished 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
Clay Collins got the pitching win, striking out two in 2 1/3 innings, while allowing three hits.

Lauderdale County 8, Clements 2: Seth Hamilton finished with a double, a single and an RBI in the loss.
Cole White added one hit and one run in the loss, while Clay Russell scored one run and Alec Van Wagnen added an RBI.

Madison Academy 5, West Morgan 1: Drew McPherson finished 2-for-3 with one RBI in the Class 3A, Area 15 game at Madison Academy.
Cole Corder got the pitching win for the Mustangs, striking out six and scattering four hits in six innings.
Chad Key finished with two doubles and two RBIs in the win, while Taylor Clemons added a double and a single.

Athens Bible 15, Danville 1: Blake Cundiff got the pitching win for the Class 1A No. 2 Trojans, scattering three hits and striking out three.
Sam Bobo finished with a triple and a double to lead Athens Bible (15-0), while Jacob Hagewood added a triple and a single. Cole Graviett and Douglas Fields both had a double and a single.
Athens Bible plays Class 1A No. 4 Geneva County on Saturday in Hartford.
Decatur Heritage 11, Falkville 1: The Eagles scored nine runs in three innings to put the game away early in Game 1 of the Class 1A, Area 11 contest at Falkville.
Zach Armstrong finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in Game 1, while Taylor Nichols and Kyle Lasch each added a double.
Pierce Thompson got the pitching win, striking out three and allowing three hits through five innings.
Decatur Heritage (6-4, 1-0) visits Falkville today.
Arab 10, Lawrence County 0: Royce Mooneyham finished 3-for-4 with a double to lead Arab past the Red Devils on Saturday.
Pulliam and Wilkerson each had two hits in the loss.
Mooneyham allowedfive hits and stuck out four through six innings to get the win.
Austin boys 2, Buckhorn 0: Miguel Palomino and Jonathan Ramirez both scored in the first half to lead the Black Bears at home.
Lane Dean had three saves.

West Morgan girls 8, Ardmore 0: Payton Parker scored three goals with one assist, while Bre Thorne finished with two goals and two assists.
Christen Strunk, Maribel Delgado and Massel Olivias each added a goal, while Amber Watson had two assists in the win.
Hannah Amos made two saves.
West Morgan (8-2, 2-0) visits Madison Academy on Thursday.
Decatur Heritage boys 5, Lauderdale County 4: Josh Burgreen, Austin Markham, Sam Miller and Grant Harper posted wins in singles to help the Eagles.
Brent King and Burgreen won 10-5 in No. 2 doubles to seal the win.

Decatur Heritage girls 9, Whitesburg 0: Emme Slaton won 8-4 in No. 1 singles, while No. 2 Merrell Bowman won 8-5, No. 3 Abby Tubbs won 8-4 and No. 4 Ginny Light won 8-0. No. 5 April Little won 8-0 and No. 6 Avery Bowman won 8-1.
In doubles, teams of Slaton and Merrell Bowman won 8-1, Tubbs and Light won 8-4 and Little and Avery Bowman won 8-2 to finish the sweep.
The Eagles (4-1) visit Athens Bible on Thursday.
West Morgan boys 163, Austin 183: Matthew Wallace shot a 37 in the nine-hole match at Decatur County Club.
