T. C. Almon, longtime Probate Judge here, had a wise saying "Never investigate your family tree or your property lines". He was right, only leads to misery and trouble.
I don't blame this man for wanting to know about this particular part of his family history. It is very interesting and if he ever finds the answers he is looking for I hope there is a story on it and that I don't miss it. If there were something like this in my family's history I would be digging too. Digging around and finding out our family's history was a passion of my grandmother and her sister. I had a huge book that they had put together at one time and thumbed through it but never had the chance to dig into it because I was a single mother of three small children. The book got lost through several moves. Luckily my sister has a copy that I will look at one day.The only thing about their book is at the ages they were they only included family trees and information but not anything that would be of this nature because their generation just didn't "discuss" things of this nature. We live in different states. Anyway, I have been considering going to Ancestry.com to start my own search. I say, Good Luck Mr. Orr and I hope you find the answers you are looking for.
