He is somewhat an unknown quantity, but I like what I see and I think he's in it for the right reasons. I don't think we should hire Gail or Don to a hundred thousand dollar a year job when they couldn't get hired anywhere else in Decatur. Do either of them have jobs?

Busbey qualified? You've never had to deal with her at city hall. Getting her to do her job was a big mess.

Remember she was the one in charge of the screwed up; construction of the fire stations. She was also the one who certified the accounting records of Ernestine Fletcher, who store $300k from the city over several years right under Busby's nose, and Busby supposedly was supposed to be checking her in audits.

If she can't keep one track of one employee, how can she keep another several hundred managed properly?

It is because I covered City Hall that I know her qualifications so well. For the same reason, I know she did not supervise Fletcher's work on the landfill accounts, the Finance Department and the budget director did.

Carl Cole is the only one of the four that seem to believe that when the people vote for something an elected official should follow thru. The other three appear to want you vote to continue what they want. What is your vote worth?
