That's great. But isn't Bud's already a fuel depot on the river?

Much ado about nothing. Gas floats on the surface of water. Water intake is on the river bed. Politicians save us from a harmless threat. Orr protects his family oil business.

Greg need to do some reasearch about petrolem products all floating on water. Thanks to our leaders for working together and stopping this , democrats and republlicans can work together, it a shame they can't in Washington, and a special thanks to Arthur, keep up your good work.

No, Buds is not on the river.

Rhea needs to look at the rainbow in a puddle at a gas station from the gas floating on the surface, or at the footage from an oil spill as the oil on the surface is contained by floaters. The products TEPCO was going to transport float on the surface. But way to go. You saved us from a harmless threat and protected the local oil families. And wasted a bunch of time.

Thank you Mr. Orr for keeping big business to have their way with us as they are usually allowed to do. Greg should realize that a fuel depot is not a science project in a parking lot. It is a serious ecological catastrophe looking for a place to happen and damage irreparably your public utility. Maybe you should utilize the educational stimulus package to educate your bumpkin mind that fuel all stays on the top of water in an oil spill. Oversimplification of the issue just goes to show how simple your mind really is. I hope big business decides to take over you back yard one day and we can all see just how loud you can whine when they do so.

Greg, you're way off on this one. DU and Senator Orr deserve our thanks for standing up and fighting this one. Looks to me like the good guys finally won one.

well put mr thompson, oil floating on the water was just one of the concerns, I wonder if Greg drinks bottle water or has a way to put a fire out at his house when the water plant is down a few weeks for cleaning. Sounds like he could serve on the planning commision the way he thinks.

You May think that gas does not mix with water but thats not totally true. Gas also contains additives called oxygenates. Oxygenates are man-made chemicals that are added to gas to make it burn more efficiently. Adding oxygenates to gas increases the octane level, and reduces pollutants emitted from cars. Oxygenates are liquids at room temperature, evaporate easily into air, and generally have a bad odor. Most oxygenates are either alcohols or ethers, which are readily soluble in water. For those of you who think a spill in to the river will not affect the quaility of our drinking water you are mistaken. Thanks to all of those who helped to stop this.

Try thinking about what can seep into ground water from seepage and spillage also , this is a bad bad thing and teppco needs to keep on looking somewhere else , their are sites along our river now that are so polluted from prior business they may never be cleaned up , we don,t need another

Bunch of anti business fear mongering. Nothing you people have said about what COULD happen has any basis in fact. You people are as bad as the whiny tree hugger libs

hey slurp my ooooooops can,t put that on here , go drink some gas and get back to us

Anti business libs!

Greg that is typical of a low intellect attack expeced from yourself in trying to stereotype people who disagree with your unscientific unsubstantiated idiotic discussion. Your dialog obviously stereotypes you into a category most people refuse to aknowkledge an ignorant baffoon. Let's see if I have this correct you hate successful politicians that own successful businesses that care about peoples individual rights call us tree hugger's since we are genuinely interested in protection of these rights and we are liberals since we do not agree with your inane lack of logic about puddles in a parking lot. It sounds like you are the liberal to me since no one else has sided with you in this discussion board so far and most people unlike myself will not lower themselves try to put you in your place of obviously being wrong probably in your whole existence.
