Funeral arrangements have been announced for Lisa Ann Eidson Greer, who, according to Gardendale police, died at about 1 a.m. Friday from a gunshot wound inflicted by her husband, former Decatur pastor Terry Greer.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Scottsboro Funeral Home at 1502 County Park Road. Visitation will be two hours before the funeral at Scottsboro First United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Greer, 52, was a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and former Chestnut Grove Elementary teacher.
Terry Greer, former pastor at First United Methodist Church in Decatur, has been charged with Lisa Greer’s murder and the attempted murder of their 18-year-old daughter, Suzanna, at their Gardendale home Thursday afternoon, Gardendale police said. Terry Greer allegedly stabbed himself in the chest and neck after Suzanna wrestled the pistol from him and ran to a neighbor’s house, according to Gardendale police.
Gardendale Police Chief Mike Walker said Saturday that Terry and Suzanna Greer remain in stable condition at the University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital. Terry Greer, who is under police guard at the hospital, will later be transferred to Jefferson County Jail.

That is so sad that the daughter isn't going to be able to attend her mother's funeral!
