HARTSELLE — Jordon Gandy recorded a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, as East Limestone improved to 4-1 in area play with a 68-51 win over Hartselle.
East Limestone (10-8), which led by as many as 20 points in the second half, got 15 points from Blake Tucker and nine from Adam Saylor. MJ Moore added eight.
Preston Adams led all Hartselle scorers with 16 points, while Thomas Fleischman added eight. Prestyn Wallace and Timbo Slaton had seven points each.
East Limestone will continue play Tuesday at home against Ardmore.
Athens 67, Russellville 46: Nathaniel Potts had a team-high 13 points as Athens remained unbeaten in area play.
Trey Potts added 12 points for the Eagles (10-7, 2-0), while Fred Houston added nine.
Athens will continue area play Tuesday against Lawrence County.
Dora 60, Decatur Heritage 44: Deionte Smith had 13 points in the win for Dora.
Tyde Coffey had a game-high 20 points in the loss for Decatur Heritage, while Nathan Lee added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
West Morgan 80, Brewer 52: Brandon Roberts scored a game-high 34 points in the win for West Morgan.
Dustin Morgan had 14 points for the Rebels (16-4), while Grant Workman added 13.
Cody Benitez had 14 points in the loss for the Brewer, while Brandon Elder added 11.
Danville 73, Phil Campbell 69, OT: Justin Morgan had a game-high 20 points as Danville overcame a 17-point halftime deficit to earn an overtime win.
Patrick Doherty had 15 points for Danville (11-8), while Andres Cordova added 11. Danville trailed 48-31 at the half.
Skeeter Benford and Cameron Harris each had 18 points for Phil Campbell, while Colton Vickery added 12.
Lawrence County 55, East Lawrence 53: Jordan Simpson and Jesse Childress combined to score 31 points for Lawrence County.
Simpson finished with a team-high 16 points for the Red Devils, while Childress added 15.
Terrence Deloney had a game-high 17 points in the loss for East Lawrence, while Marcus Hampton added 13. Cameron Garner had 12 points.
West Limestone 57, Central 37: Nathaniel Adams had 18 points in the win for West Limestone.
Aaron McWilliams had 11 points for the Wildcats, while Kyle Casteel added nine.
Falkville 44, Athens Bible 39: Aaron Estes had 16 points in the win for Falkville. Canaan Smith added 15 points for the Blue Devils, while Will Hamilton led Athens Bible with 13 points.
Lawrence County 61, East Lawrence 35: Whitney Woodard and Rachel Childress combined to knock down nine 3-pointers as Lawrence County improved to 13-5 with an easy win over county rival East Lawrence.
Childress, who finished with a game-high 21 points, hit four 3-pointers, while Woodard added five to account for all 15 of her points.
Kayla Roberts added 10 points for the Red Devils, who led 30-13 at the half.
Angel Bolden had nine points in the loss for East Lawrence.
Athens 51, Russellville 26: Destiny Bailey had 15 points in the win for Athens.
Kaitlyn Day had 12 points for the Eagles (7-9), while Alliyah Smith added seven points and 10 rebounds.
Athens will continue play Tuesday against Lawrence County.
Hatton 38, Colbert County 30: Sydney Terry had 13 points and seven rebounds to lead Hatton to the win.
Boston Claborn had eight points, six rebounds and eight steals for the Hornets (8-9), while Addie Carter added seven points and 11 rebounds.
Maya Newsome had a game-high 14 points in the loss for Colbert County.
Brewer 62, West Morgan 30: Rheagan Harvel had 20 points to lead Brewer.
Savannah Flack had nine points for the Patriots, who led 44-7 at the half.
Hannah Johnson had eight points in the loss for West Morgan (5-14).
Decatur Heritage 51, Dora 29: Maddie Vinton had 13 points and six rebounds for Decatur Heritage.
Bekah Voss had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles, while Savannah Naylor added 10.
West Limestone 58, Central 33: Shelby Clay had 15 points to lead West Limestone. Kayla Carter added 11 points for the Wildcats, while Autumn Bates added nine.
Danville 39, Phil Campbell 36: Sydni Shelton’s 3-point shot broke the tie to put Danville on top with one second remaining in the game.
Shelton and Tabetha Hutto led Danville scorers with 11 points each, while Bethany Cook added 11 for Phil Campbell.
