Kelly Gorton and Lee Parris have chosen April 13, 2013 for their wedding at Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston, S.C. Rev. Donnie Erwin-Brown will officiate the ceremony and a reception will follow at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Donald and Sophie Gorton and guardians Allen and Ethel Shariett. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Shariett and the late Charles Shariett of Hartselle, Alfred Sears and the late Nellie Sears of Columbia, S.C. and the late Hayes and Mary Brown of Decatur.
Miss Gorton is a 2001 graduate of Decatur High School. She received a Bachelors degree in Arts Management from the College of Charleston and a Master's degree in Retailing from The University of South Carolina. She is currently employed as a senior merchandise planner for Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas.
The prospective groom is the son of Tim Parris and the late Patti Parris of Dallas, Texas. He is the grandson of Donna Parris and the late Dave Parris of Jackson, Miss. and the late Jim and Maxine Crook of Palestine, Texas.
Mr. Parris is a 2004 graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas and a 2008 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. He is currently employed as the president and owner of Dragonfly Sales and Marketing in Dallas, Texas.
