Party-switching congressman raises funds with big gun from GOP while bipartisan protesters show their scorn
Evan Belanger

Republicans and Democrats don’t often agree on what’s best for the country, but many of them agreed on one thing Monday: It’s not Rep. Parker Griffith. More than 250 anti-Griffith protestors … More »

The Republican activist said on WHNT that he could not contact John Boehner by email, that his website accepted only comments from people in his zip code. If he had checked, he would have known that this is true of ALL CONGRESSMEN, they only accept emails on their website from their constituents, John Boehner is certainly not the only one. Try to contact any of the congressmen outside AL and see how successful you are in getting a message through. It would be impossible for them to accept emails from everyone, but there are other ways you can get around this.

Griffith may be controversial, because of his changeover, but I believe he will be re-elected. I only wish I could vote for him, the line comes right through Decatur past my house.

Nobody likes a turncoat. If he cant decide what he is, maybe the voter will decide where he lives. It wont be back in Washington.

THANK YOU, MY FELLOW AMERICANS, FOR EXPOSING THIS WORTHLESS ANDROID! I would be out there with you if not for recent surgery. But I can get on the phone and send emails to help inform well-meaning voters about this piece of political garbage. Conservatives should have better sense than to support anything he says or does!!

Parker Griffith has always been a liar and a cheat, warming up for a political career. He spent 25 years courting minorities in north Alabama with his financial handouts, full of worthless promises, assuming they wouldn’t remember his hot air once he got his putrid toe in the national doorway. Well, I know he has been a fraud his entire life. And yes, it is fair to judge a person’s integrity and honor by his lifestyle, by the way he treats his wife and minor children. Griffith has always been on the wrong side of honor….hoping voters are too naïve to care. But it’s a new day thanks to better media coverage and the internet. And now that the truth is being exposed, everyone should and will, HOPEFULLY, spread the word. And the Alabama Republican party has a duty to its true conservative voters….Excise this malignancy from the GOP!!!!

Griffith would have had more integrity if he had remained a democrat and stood his ground against the Obama/Reid/Pelosi liberal agenda. But then I guess he didn't want to have to be naked in the Congresional showers with Rham Emmanuel.

I can't support ANY candidate who chooses to change parties after using the other parties' money to get elected. If they have no loyalty to the people/party that put them in office I consider them untrustworthy. That comment also goes for Greg Bartlett, who did the same thing.

angie, I also agree with you

I see that people will not vote for Farker Gipifth because he changed parties and wonder will you vote for Bartlett, half of the Morgan county commission and the like? I think the DA was a democrat and oh, both of the states senators were democrats right?

Bubba wonders where your heart is, party or person

I won't vote for ANYONE that has changed parties while elected to an office by another party. I believe they lack integrity and that will carry over into their political decisions. What these people (including the ones you mentioned, Bubba) did was use one parties money to get elected, then swapped over claiming their 'values' don't reflect their prior party. Obviously their 'values' or lack thereof didn't come into play when they were using the parties money and/or influence, so I have serious doubts about them having values at all. And I've voted for both democrats and republicans over the years. I don't vote along party lines.

As a republican and conservative I find it disgusting that the national GOP supported Griffith. Mo Brooks is what district 5 really needs.
