Growing pains along Beltline
6-lane widening project expected to alleviate traffic congestion of Decatur’s key highway

Got to be the truck driver faul.Maybe one day the state will add a lane or two on 565 to Madison

not the brightest decision to start this 195 day project at THIS time of the year. We all know that it will take longer than this, but if it ONLY took 195 days and it is going to start in September, then that means we will have the extra headache of construction thru the complete holiday season..not to mention the danger to the men/women working on this project from the added holiday traffic (shoppers, I mean). Wouldn't this have been a better "Spring" project?

The Beltline's biggest problem is traffic lights that hold so long when nothing is coming and idiots on phones or texting while driving. Also, there should be a right lane for trucks and they should be made to stay in the right lane unless fixing to turn left. Cutting a road in for Central parkway under Beltline would be beneficial as well.

Just wondering if Allsport is planning on annexing into the city when they get sewer down there?

D.U. Should take a look at all those 6 figure salaries before passing on Sewer Rate increases... It is a disgrace for our city to treat its customers this way>>>
