Hartselle Community Calendar

The Hartselle Community Calendar is composed of a list of nonprofit organizational events. Items may be submitted by email to Jennifer.Hill@hartsellecourierjournal.com; or by mail Attention: Hartselle Courier Journal, P.O. Box 1132, Hartselle, Ala., 35640.
Kiwanis Club. The Kiwanis Club will meet at noon Thursday, Jan. 17 at Sedona Steakhouse.
Ribbon cutting. The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor at ribbon cutting for new business, Daylight Donuts at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17. Community members are invited to welcome the new business to the community. Daylight Donuts is located at 240 U.S. 31 SW in the Morgan Plaza Shopping Center in Hartselle.
HHS Baseball Camp. The Hartselle High School Baseball Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21. The fee for the camp is $60, which includes drinks, lunch, and snacks. For more information contact Baseball Headcoach William Booth at 256-758-6714.
Civitan Club. The Hartselle Civitan Club will meet at noon, Monday, Jan. 21. For more information call Rita Sims at 256-773-5904.
Utilities board. The Hartselle Utilities Board of Directors will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Hartselle Utilities.
County Commission. The Morgan County Commission will meet for a regular meeting at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22 in the Conference Room of the Morgan County Commission Office located at the County Courthouse in Decatur.
Rotary Club. The Hartselle Rotary Club will meet at noon, Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Sedona Steakhouse.
• City Council. The Hartselle City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Hartselle City Hall for a regular meeting.
• Ribbon cutting. The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor at ribbon cutting for new business, Embroid Me at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24. Community members are invited to welcome the new business to the community. Embroid Me is located at 2526-C Danville Road SW in Decatur.
•Rummage Sale. The German Exchange Program at Hartselle High School will hold a rummage sale from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday January, 26 at the school cafeteria. The rummage sale proceeds will go towards the program.
• Prayer gathering. Area pastors are invite to join for prayer from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at World Harvest Outreach, located at 117 Sparkman Street in Hartselle. For more information contact Pastor Cameron Reeder at 256-227-5377 or at creeder@brick.com.
• Rotary Club. The Hartselle Rotary Club will meet at noon, Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Sedona Steakhouse.
• Youth baseball signups. Hartselle Youth Baseball signups will be held from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 5, Feb. 12, and Feb. 19 at the Sparkman Civic Center. The cost is $90 per member. For additional information call the civic center at 256-773-0786
• School Board. Hartselle City School Board will meet at 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 11 at Hartselle Junior High School for a regular meeting.
• City Council. The Hartselle City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Hartselle City Hall for a regular meeting.

• School Board. Hartselle City School Board will meet at 6 p.m., Monday, March 11at Barkley Bridge Elementary School for a regular meeting.

• Run for Life 5K. West Hartselle Baptist Church is sponsoring the Run for Life 5K to benefit Relay for Life. The 5K fundraiser will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 16 beginning at the Tabernacle. Entry fees, before March1, are $10 not including 5K t-shirt and $20 including a 5K t-shirt. After March 1, fees are $15 not including 5K t-shirt, and $25 including a 5K t-shirt.
