In Game 2, the Tigers won 12-4.
Deacon Aldridge finished with two runs and three RBIs in Game 1.
Colton Ord got the pitching win, striking out 10 in four innings while allowing one run and five walks.
In Game 2, Aldridge finished with two runs on two hits with two RBIs.
Easton Chenault and Zane Hamlett finished with doubles for Hartselle (10-4).
Jake Whitt got the pitching win, striking out six in seven innings while allowing four runs and two walks.
Chris Sparkman doubled and scored two runs to lead Austin.
The Black Bears (3-8) visit East Limestone on Thursday, while Hartselle visits Madison Academy.
Decatur 12-5, East Limestone 2-0: The Red Raiders scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to seal the win in Game 1.
Keith Layton pitched a complete game in the win, allowing five hits while striking out four.
Harold Blades hit a two-run home run, and Will Gann finished with three runs on one hit.
Jackson Fite finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs for Decatur.
In Game 2, Fite led Decatur at the plate with three hits and two RBIs, while Quintin Dupper scored two runs on two walks.
Camp Metcalf, Trevor Givens, Tanner Burns and William Waller added one hit each for Decatur.
William Meadows got the pitching win, striking out four while giving up four hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Decatur (6-5) visits Athens for a doubleheader Thursday, while East Limestone (8-4) hosts Austin on Friday.
Lawrence County 10-13, Wilson 0-0: The Red Devils swept a doubleheader from Wilson at home.
In Game 1, Carson Jones got the pitching win, striking out six while allowing two hits through five innings. Jones also had a double, scoring two runs on three hits.
Blake Pulliam and Jordan Simpson each finished with two runs, while Pulliam added three RBIs in the win.
In Game 2, Lawrence County plated nine runs in the first inning to pull away. Luke Lovelady, Clark LouAllen, Simpson and Travis Thomas each finished with two runs in the contest, while Jones had five RBIs.
Pulliam (2-1) got the pitching win, striking out five in three innings while giving up no hits.
Lawrence County (10-3) visits Arab for a doubleheader Saturday.
Colbert County 7, Clements 2: Chris Tidwell and Hayden Russell each finished with one run, but it wasn’t enough as the Colts fell in their first area game.
Cole White added one hit and an RBI in the loss, while Seth Hamilton and Alec Van Wagnon also finished with one hit each.
Clements (9-5, 0-1 in Class 3A Area 16) continues area play in a doubleheader Thursday at Colbert County.
Athens Bible 13-13, Waterloo 0-0: The Class 1A No. 2 Trojans opened area play with two identical scores in the doubleheader at home.
In Game 1, Hayden Phillips got the pitching win for Athens Bible (10-0, 2-0 in Area 16), striking out eight while giving up three hits in five innings.
Sam Bobo, Blake Cundiff and Douglas Fields each finished with two singles, while Zach Klien had four RBIs.
In Game 2, Zach Ivey got the pitching win, striking out six in four innings.
Jacob Hagewood, Carter Corneil and Cundiff all added a single and a double.
The Trojans visit Elkmont on Friday for a doubleheader.
West Morgan 6, Hatton 4: Trey Mathis hit a home run to lead the Rebels past Hatton.
Sam Hughes got the pitching win, striking out five while allowing four runs, six hits and one walk.
Blake New had a double for West Morgan (4-2), while Hughes hit a single with one RBI.
West Morgan visits Brewer for a doubleheader Thursday.
