TUSCUMBIA — The North Alabama Highway Safety Office has been awarded a $150,000 grant to continue statewide training on the proper way to install child safety seats.
According to Eddie Russell, project coordinator for the highway safety office in Tuscumbia, the grant will be used to train officers on the proper installation and use of child safety seats.
Russell said the training will be conducted in each of the state’s nine highway safety offices.
