They could save us tax payers a lot of money if they would just euthanize these unwanted animals

I can also think of alot of worthless unwanted people that can be euthanized too.

The animals are victims of irresponsible people and if we didn't have several pets already that were dropped by people discarding them, I would love to adopt from the shelter. I am so glad we have a nice shelter and caring people to love them while they wait to be adopted. Animals are helpless and depend on people to care for them. People are more important than animals,of course, but animals bring a lot of joy to people's lives, and strays somehow seem to sense that they were rescued and are usually wonderful pets. I plan to support the shelter.

Neuter and spay, folks! Having a pet is a responsibilty that has expenses attached. Neuter or spay expense should be an understood given. Also, pets are a responsibilty, and not a disposable commonity. THINK before you become a pet owner. As a past volunteer at the Decatur Shelter, I've seen entire litters of puppies and kittens come in, not always in good health. THAT is a huge part of the burden at a city shelter.

I, for one, am thrilled to see the new shelter open, and will be part of helping make the move.

Hey northwest.....the same could be said about unwanted people....you wanna go first?
