HELP WANTED - Local leaders who will help promote Decatur in a positive manner while emphasizing its assets. Candidates require vision, must be capable of providing leadership and must have character, honesty and integrity to will work well with others.
Decatur is getting thumped by it's northern neighbors. Decatur has resources that include a stronger infrastructure, better schools, recreation, interstate, rail and water access and a better overall quality of life, for those that desire a great community to invest in and to raise a family. However, our municipal leadership remains stuck in a whirlpool that is having a negative effect on our growth.
It is my hope that our state delegation will intercede and provide the much needed guidance that our municipal/city leaders require during these trying times. I believe state delegation has the ability to stop the whirlpool that our municipal/city leaders are stuck in.
I realize the state leaders have no jurisdication over our city leaders. Yet, I believe they can make an impact.
