MUSCLE SHOALS — Jamarcus Nance's 1-yard touchdown run with 7.5 seconds left lifted Class 5A No. 1 Muscle Shoals to a 28-21 victory over No. 4 Hartselle tonight.

Hartselle had tied the game earlier in the fourth quarter with Deacon Aldridge's third touchdown pass of the game and another pass for the two-point conversion.

Muscle Shoals led at 14-13 halftime in the Region 8 showdown.

Muscle Shoals scored in the first half on Nance’s 41-yard run and used a 54-yard pass to set up Weston Allen’s 5-yard touchdown run. Ryan Ware connected with Tyler Jackson on the long pass.

The Trojans' third touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a 21-yard Tyler Jackson run.

Aldridge's first scoring pass covered 14 yards to Blake Slayton. The second was a 21-yarder, and the third a 9-yard play. The Tigers missed the extra point after the second touchdown.
