He is a thug, but here is the real issue. There is no accountability in sports of ANY kind. Young kids look up to these athletes as role models. The NFL and others, if they had any guts, would set higher behavior standards. Act right on and off the field, or risk being banned from the sport. These athletes, as good as they are, mostly came from nothing to being a millionaire overnight. Money and fame can buy you out of anything, just look at Lindsey Lohan, another fine role model for our youth. Pitiful.

He had a letter from a doctor saying he has a condition from bright sunlight. Tickets have been dropped in Decatur court before for this reason and the cops know that. I'm not taking up for him but I know as well as alot of other people that there are quite a few of Decatur cops that are A**HOLES !!!!!!

Roger you need to read the law. It is open to the public and it is posted online for everyone to see. A doctor's excuse is not worth the paper it is written on just by itself, it has to go with an application for exemption. The driver has to fill out an application with the State of Alabama to be exempt from the tint law. That application is sent in and the STATE, not any local judge decides whether or not they can be exempt. Then the state issues them the exemption or denies it. If they hold an exemption from the state then no ticket can be written. So tell me Roger, how do you know tickets in court have been dropped for a "doctor's excuse"? And escpecially how do you know that the cops know that? So to sum up for you Rog, no exemption from the state, too dark of tint gets a ticket! I am just curious though, how can you play football in the direct sunlight but need an exmeption to drive in a car?

Any local judge or prosecutor can and will drop the ticket !!! Mr. Chris you may think that you are a lawyer but you are not. I know because I have been in court and seen it happen. There are some Decatur cops that think they rule but they are nothing more than cowards behind a badge !!! Go to Decatur court and see how many charges are dropped down or dismissed completely. I was there today and saw several. Where were you Mr.Chris ? Reading the law online???

Roger, can you read?, if so Code of Alabama 1975, and probably if you were in court is because (based on your apparent hatred for the police) you are an offender yourself, and I am certain the COPS feel the same way about you. You still did not answer the question posed to you Rog, how can you play football in the direct sunlight but need an exemption to have tinted windows? If Chris was reading the law on line at least he is getting his facts together, something you could learn from. He wasn't in court like you answering to a charge I suppose, since you have "seen it happen" meaning more than once. that would make you a frequent flyer for city court would it not? Even if you have 'seen it happen", you do not know all the facts of the dismissal I assure you unless the case involves you. And no rocket scientist, I am not an attorney.

Attorneys and lawyers do that all the time with the judges. It is called plea bargaining, you can look that up on the Internet too. Other cases get dismissed if all of their fines are paid. Seeing how you are a fellow citizen of Hartselle maybe you wont hold such disdain for the Hartselle police. I do not think they are cowards behind a badge and would gladly call them if I needed them.

I was in court with a friend who had been charged for a trumped-up charge from a Decatur cop that had a chip on his shoulder and was nothing more than a punk POS !!! Boy you two guys realy do think you know everything !!! Have you two ever thought of becoming Decatur cops? You would fit right in. As a matter of fact the prosecutor saw through the cops BS and dropped the charges without even talking to the judge !!! One day when one of these Decatur cops with a chip on his or her shoulder gets you or someone you know on some made-up BS you will see the other side...

Hey Chris and Thor I guess you need to read more about Alabama tint laws. Section 32-5C-3 says that if a vehicle is registered in another state besides Alabama that it is EXEMPT form the tint law of Alabama !!!!!!! And also Mr. Lawyers section 32-5C-6 says that if you have tint on your windows that a compliance sticker must be on the car saying the tint is legal. I have never heard of anyone or have never been personally ticketed for this !!!!!! So what about that boys ????? I can read too !!! Why don't you get off the guy's back ?
