good job mitch......always knew if countys talked to each other they could catch more of the s o b s. put em jail and order more corndogs......um um good

You are getting Lawrence and Morgan County Jails confused my friend...Lawrence County inmates get cheeseburgers and french fries, Morgan County inmates get corn dogs...Mitchell is manipulating the press for his own ego and next years campaign so this will be my last post concerning anything he does as a Sheriff...Good Luck busting myths brother...Talk to you soon.

maybe it should be a state law....when in jail....you eat corndogs....dont want corn dogs.....dont go to jail.

no offence but aint all politicans in which ever county required to manipulate the press.

lol morgan county out of corn dogs back to peanut butter and syup sandwiches

John from Danville.

What is the sheriff suppose to do?

If you feed them corn dogs everybody B-----'s and says they are being mistreated or treated in humainly and if you feed them good such hamburgers and fries which they get once maybe twice a week if they are lucky and people are B------- that the sheriff is feeding them to good.

Which is it? do you want them fed or not . make up your mind. John it doesnt seem like the sheriff can do anything right or that will be pleasing to you and we all know why because you are supporting someone who is running against sheriff mitchell in 2010.

Your problem is that you know this is the best sheriff lawrence county has had in a long, long, long time and your for chris and you cant stand it that he and his department is doing a wonderful job and has done so for three years. Well get use to it.

John from Danville

I got a question. If you quit posting comments on Sheriff Mitchell then how is the man you are supporting going to do his attacks on Sheriff Mitchell? Your his bulldog. You have been against every drug arrest, every crime solved and every grant the sheriff has received for equipment for his department. Negative, negaitve negative.

As the campaign nears i say your attacks will increase not decrease. Wait and see.

You will keep comenting because you are the one delivering your mans message: Mr. John Letson from Danville.

Well we have lost sight of the forest for the trees. This article had nothing to do with feeding inmates but the solving of a $30,000.00 crime. How did we get to talking about feeding inmates?

Back to the artilce.

Great Job Sheriff Gene Mitchell and your Department / Investigators. Cooperation always works and you guys appear to be doing that with great success. Keep up the great work.

I'm sure the man that got his property back is happy or should be. i know i would be thrilled.

Again, Great work Lawrence County Sheriff's Office. You are a model.

Why are we even offering up congratulations to Sheriff Mitchell? He didn't solve the crime, Colbert County did. Don't get me wrong, I am not a non-supporter of Mitchell. I think he has done a pretty good job, but he nor his team deserves the credit. This should be an article about Colbert County.

The article says-

"Lawrence County investigators and Vanderford and Steve Benson, an investigator in Colbert County, found Ford driving a truck used in the thefts, Mitchell said."

It looks like both agencies were involved. Keep up the good work.

Sheriff Gene Mitchell is the leader of the Department. It is his job to provide the leadership for the people under his command and it appears he is providing that leadership that is the part that he play. Plus i hear him on the scanner at all hours of the day and NIGHT.
