Maybe Cuba can send some of their superior universal medical care to help their neighbor...
Seriously, American Exceptionalism with our emphasis on Christian charity always amazes me when disaster strikes. Whenever there is pain and suffering the American's Christian heritage of giving and caring for others shines bright. For others looking for another great Christian relief organization I have worked for decades with OMS International who has had many full-time missionaries in Haiti for over half a century. They do really great work there with their 4-VEH radio station and church building efforts. I trust my donations to them will be used in the most efficient manner to help the poor and suffering of Haiti.

Don't wait on Cuba-the only"superior universal medical care" is for Castro and his cronies. The other go lacking. I am waiting to see REVEREND Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton leap forth and do their miracles!!!!! I remember on 9/11, I kept waiting to see
both of them and their programs out there in front, but this never happened!!! Yes, we all know who does the "talking" and who does the "walking."
Am extremely sorry about Haiti---things were bad enough before the quake, but our country will rise to the occasion as they always do.

Why in the world is the Red Cross turning anything away??? This is exactly why I refuse to donate to them. I also refuse to donate my blood to them anymore. If you are a world-known charitable organization, then you should NEVER be turning away blankets and sleeping bags. Sounds like they have more than enough!
