Letter to the Editor
Mitt Romney of Mexican descent?

To The Daily: Why is it not mentioned that Romney is of Mexican descent? His parents or (grandparents) were from Mexico. I think people should know this. He is a good man and it seems the Mexican population is not aware of this.

He LIES. That's ALL we need to know about that man.

More accurately Mitt Romney's grandparents were Americans living in Mexico when his father was born. Technically this does give his father dual citizenship, and therefore Mitt Romney could claim dual citizenship. I think most people would not consider this tie to Mexico as Mitt Romney being of Mexican descent. Mitt Romney himself does not claim Mexican heritage.

Jimmy....did Obama tell the American people that our Ambassador was killed out by terrorists or did he tell the truth? Did Joe Biden continue the lie?

Ellis, You bet he doesn't claim his mexican heritage. he knows his own party would try to deport him but if he is of that heritage he's a good example of how successful a person of any heritage can be in this country even if he made his millions at the cost of thousands of innocent people. all people should be welcome here

Does Charles Kirby have Mexican blood too? Or is it by marriage?

All people ARE welcome here, if they come lawfully and conduct themselves as a good person.

Jimmy, When Obama opens his mouth he lying, he's lied so much he thinks it the truth.

The author of this letter to the Editor and many of the commenters are the very type of voters that helped elect Obama. Logical reasoning based on facts is not to be found in their skill set. Nowhere was it implied or stated that Mitt Romney is of Mexican descent - His white caucasian, American citizen, grandparents were living in Mexico, seeking religious freedom ,when Romney's white, American citizen, Father was born.

"Romney (Senior) was born to American parents living in the Mormon colonies in Mexico; events during the Mexican Revolution forced his family to flee back to the United States when he was a child." Wikipedia
