This paper could in no way ever be consider a liberal rag.

Listed under Senator Sessions' 2008 Campaign Contributions are two puzzling items:

State of Alabama $18,050

University of South Alabama $24,350

If Senator Sessions received a tax refund from the state of Alabama it should not be considered a Campaign Contribution, so if the information the Senator filed with the Federal Elections Commission is correct I think an explanation is needed from him. Alabama taxpayer money should not be going into any candidate's campaign fund.

Perhaps the University of South Alabama contribution was a speaking fee, but an explanation of that item would be helpful also.

Senator Shelby did not report any Campaign Contributions from Alabama governmental sources, to his credit.

Of course not ! ! When your paper uses Eugene Robinson as an op-ed every week that's a sure sign you're bipartisan......LOL

We can only hope that November will bring leaders like our Alabama Senators into the majority. What a day of rejoicing that will be!!!! Lets ban together to put down the American Communist and American Socialist Party's!!!

This report supports the observation that John Q. Public dislikes/disapproves of earmarks - unless it benefits the local community (i.e., local/state education, military/NASA). Shelby can't speak against pork with oinking...

Right out of the Marxist playbook Decatur Daily. Way to live up to my expectations. With Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters in hot water over their illegal and unethical dealings you try your best to portray our rock solid honorable senators as rich and self serving. How do you look yourself in the mirror Daily? Not to mention your party and ideology being backed by George Soros. I'm sure we can look for a rundown of Democratic party funding in next Sunday's edition...

We have the best senators and government money can buy. either party

Two of THE MOST respected senators in the nation and this is what this rag comes up with. ? It's not surprising, I'm interested to see how they will spin the wipeout in November.

Typical Decatur Daily Daily lead story TRASH to sell news print. That all!! Otherwse serves no real purpose. No value added.

How DARE the Decatur Daily print facts about our elected leaders. What's up with that? Do you want the public to be informed or something? Don't you know that there are a large number of readers that don't want to be informed because it only confuses them to read the truth?

Yeah that's right, they will enlighten us to the facts on all the liberal scum as well. DD is just starting on Republicans first, they are giving the dems a 30 year head start.
