A Decatur man hurled enough profanity at the judge during a bail hearing for suspects in his brother’s slaying that the judge had him arrested. Friends and family of murder victim Houston Glenn … More »

That Dem nature will come out.

Considering Thompson let DWM go, I would be hurling profanities also. What a freakin disgrace!

Youthful offender is BS. These scums are murderers, they need to treated as such. I don't blame the family's for being upset. I don't agree with cussing the Judge, I just think this so-called justice system of ours, needs fixing.

Way to go, Gleen. Free the suspects and jail the innocent. Murder suspect should not get any gbail. But, we been hollering about your ridiculous low bails in the past and I don't know why y9ou weren't kicked out after the last election. You put a black mark on Decatur as far as the judicial system is concerned. Why don't you step up and do your job the right way.

these punks will murder again and then what? This trash should have never been let out.

I guess I shoulda voted a straight ticket....

but the judge charged the brother of the victim with contempt........who can charge you with contempt judge? This was a shame.

The position of "Judge" must be respected whether you like the person or not. Cursing a judge while court is in session should get you jailed every time.

Lowering the bail from 500,000 to 20,000? That seems a little ridiculous! Whether they were the actual shooter or not, both young men knew exactly what they had went to the apartment to do, rob another individual. Sell weed and get the book thrown at you, but kill a person and get a 20,000 dollar bond! They should reverse those two bail amounts!

And I probably would have been cursing the judge, the defendants, the police, and probably anyone I could! The defendants are going to bail out, get to shower at home, go out, hang out with other soon to be defendants, but this family can never see their son/brother/uncle/husband/daddy again. Makes absolutely no sense to me!

Thompson let a guy out a while back he was put in a community program of some sort and whent on to kill another fine person of our community during a police chase. This man that sent those volley's of f- bombs is the public out-cry and all Thompson is concerned about is him being respected. Mr. Thompson how about respecting us the publico and start doing a more respectful job or in another word dutiful.

Now the man being held in contempt is entitled to a jury trial is he not. Put me on that jury and I will probably stand up and say NOT GUILTY! just so I can send a message to him that I and The public will be respected by him and quit letting these folks out on us.

Lower the ball after you took someone life ..at 20000??????? And if you do meth it's 1 million sounds like everyone needs to change crime from meth to killings ..this is !?,;)&$?,?? Crazy

Check out that Deputy. I thought there would in the least be some physical fitness requirements to be in law enforcement.

All of the above comments were right on target with the exception of the meth bail. It needs to stand that high but murder should be right up there also. As for Judge Thompson, I am glad I haven't voted 4 him ever. I do not like the way he conducts his courtroom. Why do people keep voting him in???

Glenn Thompson is too old to do his job. Maybe his mind is going.

Lawrence County has two stupid judges in Mark (joe brown) Craig, and Angela (dawson gang) Terry, but i think ole judge Thompson has them both beat.

Think about it he lowered that bail by 2500%

Glenn does not make the law. The most he could set in their case was $75k, he should have made it $75k. It is not his fault, our justice system needs a BIG OVERHAULING.
