If President Obama rides to the rescue and accepts the flexibility of painless reduction offered by Republicans, the public will most certainly clamor for greater reduction, anathema to Democrats. The president has no choice but to opt for pain for purely political reasons.

painless reductions?? thats laughable. it would be only painless to those who dont use medicare, social security or other social programs this nation has come to depend on.

What has happened over the past 4 years that has hurt the most is the cost of living has increase. That has taken money out of the pockes of the poor and the middle class. That is the real sequestration for the average American.

The government takes to much and gives to much to certain segments of society (special interest groups and ect.)

When government handouts becomes the "normal" way of life you are sending your entire economy to the grave. It is just a matter of time before it dies. Only those who are willing to work hard and earn an honest living will survive.

I work hard supporting the Soldier. I just got a %20 percent cut. Shame on me. I guess I deserve it.

This "painful" sequester of 85 billion dollars isn't a cut at all, it is a decrease in the amount of spending increase that was planned, not budgeted since this president ignores the law requiring a budget. So much for truth in the media.

Big Bird still has his job.

I'm ok!
