PREP ROUNDUP: Lee, Coffey lift Decatur Heritage over Athens Bible

Nathan Lee and Tyde Coffey combined for 34 points, leading Decatur Heritage past Athens Bible 66-43 Monday night.

Coffey finished with 17 points and nine rebounds for Decatur Heritage (4-2), while Lee had 17 points and six rebounds.

Decatur Heritage raced out to a commanding lead, carrying a 44-19 cushion into halftime.

Jacob Crews added nine points for Decatur Heritage. Will Hamilton led Athens Bible (0-1) with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyler Hudson added nine points.

East Limestone 67, East Lawrence 50: Jordon Gandy paced East Limestone with 16 points as the Indians beat East Lawrence.

Nick Walsh added 14 points for the Indians (4-3).

Hatton 62, Red Bay 43: The Hornets (2-1) won their second straight game, beating Red Bay at home.

Decatur Heritage 40, Athens Bible 11: Maddie Vinton tossed in 15 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Decatur Heritage (6-2) past Athens Bible (0-1).

Decatur Heritage dominated the first half, building a 26-3 lead by halftime. Savanna Naylor finished with 14 points and three steals for the Eagles, while Logan Wren had five points and three rebounds.

Anna Price led Athens Bible with five points.

Red Bay 55, Hatton 28: Lexy Lindsey paced Red Bay (1-0) with 17 points and Allie Kennedy added 12 as the Tigers opened the season with a win.

Sydney Terry and Kayla Vines led Hatton (3-4) with seven points each, while Addie Carter had five points and eight rebounds.
