Nice story.
So glad that this has a happy ending. To many times stories about missing dogs like this has a tragic ending. So glad that there are still some humans that think a dogs life is worth saving and does not hesitate to step up and do the right thing. THANK YOU. <3
I'm glad he didn't call Decatur animal services. They would have seen an opening to extort money from the owners through shots or other fee's, Decatur animal services is not a no kill sheltor.
Casinokid, I'm glad they were able and willing to lift the drain and I'm glad that the dogs had ID tags. But if someone else had found them who was unable to rescue them or the dogs had no ID and the finder could not keep them while hunting for the owner, I'm glad there was an alternative. Calling the animal shelter would have gotten the help the dogs needed, and given the dogs a safe place to stay where the owners could find them.
