Seventh seed B.B. Perrin's and second seed Smokey C's BBQ and Wings were locked in a tight battle after the first day of voting in The Daily's Meat Madness barbecue challenge.

Perrin's had 176 votes and Smokey's C's 107 in their first-round matchup. The winner will advance to the second round against the winner of voting between Pig Stand BBQ and Red's BBQ & Diner.
