Wayne and Shirley Parker have gave all they can.. the sad part is everyone of those kids don't really appreciate anything. Like most of the kids today. If anyone came after me with a bat and I had a pistol I can't. Say the same thing wouldn't have happened. Wayne felt threatened and protected his self. JRB

Hey Frank.. the article doesn't name them by name. ..... You might want to edit/remove your post to remove their names so they don't get harassed by other or other media outlets

Wayne and Shirley Parker are a POS....they don't deserve to have those children! Jordan was not "welding" the bat!!! And Wayne already had the gun pointed at Jordan before Jordan got the bat!!!! Wayne sorry butt should be charged with attempted murder! Those kids have been put through hell since they have been on this earth. What a sorry excuse for breathing human beings Shirley and Wayne Parker are.....I bet he wouldn't have shot Blake and Blake has done everything under this sun possible!

Herman, you are an idiot ! The kid should have left his grandfathers house.

Herman how do you say that the kid wasn't "welding" a bat . Then you say ha went and got a bat !!! By the way just what kind of welder do you use to weld a bat anyway?????

Roger......the only idiot is you.....typo...have you ever heard of one? And the child was only there to get clothes to go to school. He never threaten Wayne with the bat...hell, he didn't have time! He was leaving...didn't the shooting take place outside? Yeah, it did! So unless you know the story, please don't go by the lies Shirley and Wayne Parker told the police. Do you really think Wayne was gonna say he shot his grandson for coming to get clothes? Uh, no! Then his old butt would be in jail! So, until you know the story, not just what DD prints, stfu talking to me!

@ Frank...since you are Wayne Parker's brother...I've gotta a question for you....Are you the one Shirley divorced Wayne and married and then divorced you and married Wayne again? Or was that the other brother? Now tell me what GREAT people they are.......

Wayne already had the gun pointed at Jordan when Jordan reached and got the bat.....Jordan was outside, trying to leave when Wayne pulled the gun on him.....

Have the police interviewed you Herman? Sounds like they can get all the answers from you since it appears you know more about what happened than the people that were actually involved.

Nobody Really Knows What Happen,,,Unless You Were Right There With Both Of Them When It Really Happen

Decatur is so full of the lower socioeconomic demographic.

Did the boy get his clothes?

Billy G....they could get the truth faster from me than they could Shirley or Wayne Parker. That's for sure!!!! I don't have a reason to lie..

@ Orville...no the boy didn't get his clothes, but guess what? He was released from the hospital, went with his 18 yr. old brother and was at school today. He said he has to come to school because he doesn't want to get behind on any of his school work. This is his senior year!!!! God bless him.
