Priceville beats rival Hartselle

Luke Mason tossed in 17 points and Kaleb Barker added 12, leading Priceville High past rival Hartselle 67-59 on Tuesday night.

Hayden Prentice added 11 points for Priceville (5-3), which led 27-21 at halftime. Mark McLendon finished with 10 points for the Bulldogs.

Phillip Summerford paced Hartselle (1-2)with nine points, while Prestyn Wallace and Preston Adams each had eight points.

West Morgan 78, Elkmont 50: Brandon Roberts poured in a game-high 33 points while

finishing with seven assists, leading West Morgan to a Class 3A, Area 15 win.

Dustin Morgan finished with a double-double for West Morgan (7-2, 1-0 in Area 15), scoring 16 points while grabbing 17 rebounds. Peyton Mullican tossed in seven points for the Rebels.

Bryant Wales led Elkmont with 18 points.

West Limestone 48, Ardmore 40: Nathaniel Adams paced West Limestone with 19 points, leading the Wildcats past rival Ardmore.

Kyle Casteel and Caleb McConnell finished with six points each for West Limestone (5-3).

Ben Hargrove led Ardmore with 12 points and Robbie Stephenson added nine.

East Lawrence 64, Wilson 49: Malik Garth paced East Lawrence with 20 points and eight rebounds, leading the Eagles past Wilson.

Terrence Deloney scored 11 points for East Lawrence, which led 36-18 at halftime. Cameron Gardner added seven points for the Eagles.

Jarrod Mask scored 13 points to lead Wilson.

Decatur Heritage 37, Falkville 36: Tyde Coffey scored 14 points and Nathan Lee added 10, leading Decatur Heritage past Falkville.

Lee Godwin added eight points for the Eagles.

Aaron Estes paced Falkville with 10 points and Canaan Smith added nine.

Girls basketball

Hartselle 41, Priceville 36: Quanesha Burks paced Hartselle High with 14 points as the Tigers

erased an 11-point halftime deficit to beat Priceville.

Priceville carried a 26-15 lead into halftime, but Hartselle (4-2) held the Bulldogs to 10 points in the second half.

Sarah Horner finished with 11 points for Hartselle.

Emilee Cunningham led Priceville with nine points and 10 rebounds, while Ashlee Quinn added nine pionts.

Lawrence County 52, Russellville 19: Adrien Coffey recorded a double-double, pouring in 20 points while grabbing 16 rebounds to lead Lawrence County past Russellville in a Class 5A, Area 16 game.

Rachel Childress added 11 points for fifth-ranked Lawrence County (7-1, 1-0 in Area 16), while Tori McDaniel added six points with 10 steals.

Ashley Dunstan led Russellville with 13 points.

Brewer 70, Cullman 42: Riley Northway scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Class 5A No. 1 Patriots cruised past rival Cullman.

Cheyenne McLemore finished with 10 points and five assists for Brewer (9-0), while Rheagan Harvel added nine points with four assists.

Bailee Johnson led Cullman with 16 points.

West Morgan 50, Elkmont 21: Sydney Sanders just missed a double-double, scoring nine points with eight rebounds to lead the Rebels to a Class 3A, Area 15 win.

Krystyn Chambers finished with nine points for West Morgan (3-6, 1-0 in Area 15), while Michelle Lamon and Katie Amos each had seven points.

Bailee Gooch led Elkmont with seven points.

Falkville 31, Decatur Heritage 28: Patricia Kilgore led Falkville with 11 points as the Blue Devils held off Decatur Heritatge for a Class 1A, Area 14 win.

Autumn Eddy added seven points for Falkville (6-1, 2-0 in Area 14), which led 19-13 at halftime.

Bekah Voss and Maddie Vinton led Decatur Heritage (6-4) with 11 points each.

East Lawrence 69, Wilson 58: Angel Bolden scored 22 points and

Aundrea Simpson added 17 as the Eagles beat Wilson.

Brooke White added 12 points for East Lawrence.

Ciarra Edwards paced Wilson with 22 points.

West Limestone 52, Ardmore 21: The Wildcats built a commanding lead early, pulling away to beat rival Ardmore.

West Limestone led 31-10 at halftime.

Laura Easter led West Limestone with 12 points, while Kayla Carter scored 10. Shelby Clay added eight for the Wildcats.
