Crews from Hartselle Parks and Recreation and Turrentine’s Construction began pouring the concrete foundation for the first phase of the play area at The John Mark Stallings Special Needs Accessible Playground of Morgan County on Thursday, March 14. The first phase of the playground, a $60,000 effort, will have spring riders, omnispin spinner and sway fun wheelchair glider. It is planned to be completed before May 1, SNAP Coordinator Bob Francis said. The splash pad area, completed in 2010, will be open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
