Letter to the Editor
Search for truth before voting

To The Daily: I would like to respond to Ronnie Long's letter, "Do the research before you vote" with a hearty "Amen." I agree that the American people need to think two or three times before listening to the mainstream media and taking to heart what The Decatur Daily tells us. Both are biased in their opinions and dedicated to covering the many mistakes of the present administration. In response to the article in The Daily on Oct. 7, "Yes, we are better off now," this is just another cover up for the present administration. Ask the thousands of people who are out of work and have been for quite some time — even years — and see if they agree with you. To even suggest that we are better off is ridiculous! Check out the truths before you vote!

The TRUTH is YES we are better off. LOOK at where we were 4 years ago and where we are now and your going to tell me we are not better off? Watch something besides FOX news and you will see it. That is the TRUTH.

Do the research Jimmy. You obviously need to watch something besides MSNBC

Jimmy, I don't know what you do for a living, but I'm not better off. I'm fortunate to still have a job. That's a good thing, But, do you ever put gasoline in your car? Do you shop for food or anything for that matter? Pretty much everything has gone up in price that I buy. I'm not better off!

Liberals like Jimmy look at the shiny object. It's so purty. They are distracted and don't see the reality. As you see obamacare go into effect in the coming year you will also see thousands of small business's go under because they really cannot shoulder the cost of insurance obamacare requires. They can't afford the taxes levied on them if they don't either.A cabinet shop here in Decatur has already told their employees they will shut down if obama is re-elected.Other business's will simply go to part-time employees. Our country has also become much weaker.Obama traveled the world bowing and apologizing for our great America. He either was naive enough to think the world and the mulims would suddenly like us or worse wants to bring this country to it's knees and be equal to the third world countries he seems to so admire. At a time when we need energy independence he turned down the pipeline and has regulated coal into what will be non-existence.Instead putting billions of stimulus funds into green energy companies that were considered high risk failures from the very beginning. This election is about much more than Republican verses democrat. It is about socialism verses our republic. It is about the victim mindset verses working hard, taking resposibility and having pride in your accomplishments.

I just want to know why you people that hate the paper so much subscribe to it?

And when you finish with the ignorant comments the FACTS still remain, WE ARE BETTER OFF! President Obama saved us from a depression. If he hadn't saved the auto industry and the banks, you wouldn't barely have a job, you would be unemployed. Almost 5 million jobs were created under President Obama's administration. Unemployment rate is lower than it was before he took office, he closed the doughnut hole in Medicare Prescription drug plan, Passed healthcare reform, ended the war in Iraq, eliminated Bin Laden, and the list goes on. But, you can continue to lie to yourself all you want but President Obama is an advocate of hard work and education to achieve the american dream not handouts. Yes, some people may need a student loan to continue their education and you are probably one of those people, if not you, your children or your grandchildren. And you are more than likely the in the 47% of americans that Romney could care less about. He could care less about a person going to work everyday because he doesn't know the struggle, like he said he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Vote for Romney! Then watch how many jobs he abolishes at the Missile Command and NASA in Huntsville. Watch your taxes go up when he closes the loop holes. Vote for Romney! Don't complain when he starts a war in the Middle East.

. Vote for Ryan who favorite advisor is Ayn Rand who is an atheist. Vote for Romney who is a good church going Mormon but you can't go inside the Mormon church unless you are a member.

All of you obama people just don't have any vision for what's happening around and the future,,, like my momma said, you were dropped on your heads when you were babies what why you have a serious thinking disorder.

Your going to see a war anyway when the muslim brother hood tries to start steering our middle east policies, we're just going to have to raise up arms and fight for our freedom like we our forefathers once had to. And if you want that go ahead, vote for your none get er done obama.

A BIG AMEN JEAN!!! I could not have said it better myself.

Obama borrowed us our of trouble and when the hammer falls and it is time to pay the piper there will indeed be hell to pay. Remember one thing......16 trillion dollars in debt....who will pay???
