BAD TIMING KID.

Veeeerrrryyyyy bad timing. But $20 says someone will defend him based on "other" observations.

Jesse and al will be here post haste , If Obamie had a son

wow... class 3 felony. it used to be that you just got "licks" (paddling) and sent home with suspension for a few days. how times have changed.

@Bob . . . and the licks were in front of the class while you were leaning on the teacher's desk.. Entire class could see. Much more effective if you ask me.

things are a little out of control "terrorist threat" I mean punish him but come on

This overboard mentality began years ago. We absolutely need to take threats seriously, but we've allowed common sense to walk straight out the door when determining punishment.

I've personally seen a good student, good athlete, with a bright future ruined because of this poor judgement in discipline. The good student was bullied on line repeatedly by another student. The good student reported the incidents but no action was taken because it didn't happen at school. Finally, one day the bully confronted the good student at school, having had enough of the bullying, the good student said "I could just kill you!" At that point this student was suspended for issuing a terrorist threat, was removed from participation on the sports team, clubs, and from after school events. The bully was never disciplined. As a result of this experience, the good student changed, no longer a good student, no longer interested in sports, no longer positive. The experience caused this student to lose faith in self and the system. All because of a comment that most all of us have made at some point in our lives out of frustration or aggravation.

If punishment is meant to change behavior, it was successful. What was once an exceptional student with a bright future, became one who struggled academically and had no respect for school faculty or administrators.
