NORTH COURTLAND — Hayden Stephens rushed for 143 yards and scored a trio of touchdowns as Tanner High ran past R.A. Hubbard 48-0 on Friday night.
Stephens opened the scoring with a 28-yard run in the first quarter. In the second period, he added a 33-yard touchdown run and a 60-yarder for a score.
Stephens managed his yardage with only 10 carries.
Tanner (5-0) kept it on the ground for the most, piling up 383 rushing yards on 29 attempts.
The Rattlers didn’t commit a turnover and attempted only one punt.
Kyle Shoulders rushed for a score on a 3-yard run, while Ronald Taylor broke a 52-yard scoring run in the second quarter.
Jonathan Fletcher broke free for a 60-yard run in the third quarter.
Fred Rich closed out the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run in the third period.
Alan Rios kicked six extra points.
R.A. Hubbard (2-3) had a tough time finding yardage against the Tanner defense.
The Chiefs rushed for 81 yards but wound up with minus-19 passing. They managed only five first downs.
